HMS Update - Texas Thunder Speedway

The weekend of racing is all wrapped up for us with the ASCS Gulf South after visiting the Texas Thunder Speedway yesterday in Killeen, TX. The night started off well with me pulling the #4 pill and starting second in the first heat. The high banked bullring ¼ mile was heavy in turns one and two and slick with a cushion in turns 3 and 4. HMS Update - Heart O' Texas Speedway

Our first night of ASCS Gulf South action this weekend almost ended with a "w" but we came up just a bit short. The night was kicked off by pulling the #1 pill to start on the pole of the first heat. The track was really sloppy in hot laps and it was hard to tell how the car really was. In the heat, I was really tight, almost to the point of biking and I lost the first place spot on the first lap. HMS Update - Heart O' Texas Speedway

After a few weeks off we are back on the road heading east towards Waco, TX and the Heart O' Texas Speedway for an ASCS Gulf South showdown on Friday. After that we will head down to Killeen, TX and the Texas Thunder Speedway for the second round of action. Although I have raced several times at Heart O' Texas Speedway, this will be my first visit to Texas Thunder Speedway.
